During the decades around the 1940s, Sweden was a clear class society. One of the things that was still common across class boundaries was the cap. For workers and farmers, the cap was almost what went on before the socks in the mornings, the upper class left the cap until it was time for hunting or a round of golf. Time passed and fashion changed but the old men continued to use their caps and the name “old men's cap” appeared in Sweden. Today, the man's cap is back and a new generation has found this classic accessory.
