We offer guided tours of CTH Ericson's historic hat and cap factory, which is located in the city center of Borlänge.

During the guided tour, we tell you about how it all started in 1885, to become Sweden's largest manufacturer of hats and caps with over 200 employees in the 50s.

We still produce hats and caps in Borlänge and entering into the hat factory is like stepping into a living museum. The hat factory was named an industrial heritage in 2006 for a well-preserved environment that tells about the textile industry, technology and people.

The guided tour takes 80 minutes and includes coffee and cake as well as the opportunity to shop in our factory store. The tour must be booked in advance and costs SEK 200 per person.

The minimum number of visitors per tour is 5 people, we therefore reserve ourselves for any cancelled tour. We will notify you 48 hours in advance in case this occurs.

We also welcome groups from companies, organisations and schools for private guiding. For more information, please contact us at cth@cthericson.se

We offer the guided factory tours during September-June, but not during July and August.

This product is made in Sweden and built on a tradition that started already in the year 1885, when Carl Theodor Ericson, fourth generation hat maker, founded the C.Th Ericsons Hat Factory in Borlänge, Sweden.

Over the years, CTH’s high-quality headwear would become a part of Swedish cultural and industrial heritage. Today, almost 140 years later, we are still a family business, our hats are still manufactured by hand and we are still creating modern classics for future generations.

Not much has changed, really. And in that we take a lot of pride.
