The "Olav" cap is a traditional Scandinavian ski cap, named after King Olav V of Norway who often wore this ski hat when he skied at Holmenkollen. Made of heavy melton fabric in 100% wool and has fold-down ear flaps.
We at CTH Ericson have manufactured Olav for over 90 years and it works just as well to ski with today as it did in the 30s.
With fold-down ear patches
Made of 100 % wool
Lining: 100 % quilted polyester
Dry clean only
Melton fabric from Albano Morgado weaving mill in Portugal.
Similar to the German Bergmütze.
To measure your hat size, wrap a tape measure around your head just above your ears. The tape should fit comfortably – not too tight. Round up to the nearest size.
If you have no tape measure, you can measure with a string, which you then measure with a ruler.
