A classic black Bowler hat, made of rabbit fur felt. With its characteristic rounded, stiff crown and curled brim, the Bowler hat is one of the most iconic styles in the world of hats.

The hat is made by Tonak in the Czech Republic and features a black grosgrain band with a bow around the crown. The interior is lined with an burgundy satin lining and a black leather sweatband —meticulously crafted details that give the hat an exclusive feel.

A hat with a rich history

The Bowler hat was first manufactured in 1849 by Lock & Co. in London, commissioned by Edward Coke. He wanted to create a type of hard, protective hat for his gamekeeperss that would not get caught in trees or blow off while they were traveling on horseback or by carriage. The hat was originally named the Coke, but when two hatmakers named Bowler began manufacturing the style in 1850, it soon became known as the “Bowler hat” and in the US, as the Derby hat.

With its iconic silhouette, the Bowler hat has become a timeless classic, associated with everything from British elegance to Charlie Chaplin’s legendary movie character.
